Counters: When it comes to Travertine, Marble or Limestone countertops or full slabs of Travertine, Marble or Limestone that have been fabricated for bathrooms, powder rooms , or furniture tables, it is important to properly seal and maintain to keep the beauty of the stone intact. As far as cleaning travertine counter tops it is very easy. Since we are working with a full slab of Travertine, Marble or Limestone with no grout joints, once it is sealed with a proper protector like Travertino and Marmo Impregnator (follow the simple instructions), the cleaning maintenance involved will be easy with Kleen Stone Plus daily cleaner. You can have added protection by using Rock Star which will give it a nice polish and minimize the etching probabilities. Rock Star is a product you will love and is highly recommended with these stones. The biggest concern you have will be to keep acidic liquids from coming in contact with surface of your Travertine, Marble or Limestone counter top. These stones sometimes get small etch marks or dull spots that are caused by typical items one would find in a bathroom: some soaps, cosmetics, shampoos , mouth wash, etc. If any item has a little acidic qualities to them they will leave a whitish looking mark or etch that you will think is a stain. It is not as you have dulled your stone and will need to repolish your stone. We do have an easy to use etch and scratch remover that will help you keep your stone looking great.
